NAPA UNITED PARENT AND FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

The below Parent and Fan Code of Conduct and discipline is a guideline and does not and cannot

anticipate the exact nature or severity of each situation. Therefore, Napa United reserves the right to

adjust the discipline based on the individual circumstance of each occurrence.

CODE DISCIPLINE

Parents and fans shall support all players and

coaches on your child's squad. Do not criticize or

become confrontational with any of the players,

coaches, or parents on a Napa United or opposing

team at any time.

- Excessive and or targeted abusive, obscene, or

critical language towards any player(s), coach(es),

and/or parent(s) on a Napa United or opposing

team will not be tolerated.

• LEVEL 1 DISCIPLINE

◦ First offense – written admonition.

◦ Second offense – suspension ranges

from 1-3 games and/or practices.

◦ Third offense – suspension ranges

from 3-5 games and/or practices.

• Additional offenses or combination of

other violation of this Code of Conduct

within a one-year period carries a

minimum of a 5 game suspension and/or

practices and may result in a one year ban.

Parents and fans shall never audibly dispute a

referee's decision.

- Excessive and or targeted abusive, obscene,

critical, or questioning language towards a referee

will not be tolerated.

Parents and fans must not coach from the sideline

during games or training.

- Excessive or targeted coaching from the sideline

during games or training will not be tolerated.

• LEVEL 1 DISCIPLINE

No Dogs are permitted on any Napa Valley

Unified School District sites unless permitted by

law.

• LEVEL 1 DISCIPLINE

Parents and fans must obey instructions by Napa

United Board Members or their agents, staff, or

contractors.

• LEVEL 1 DISCIPLINE

Parents and fans must not enter the field of play

during games or training unless requested so by

the referee or coach.

• LEVEL 2 DISCIPLINE

◦ First offense - Minimum 5 game

suspension and/or one week of

practice.

◦ Second offense – 6 month to one year

suspension from games and/or

practices.

• Additional offenses or combination of

other violation of this Code of Conduct

within a one-year period may result in a

one-year suspension or expulsion from the

league.

Parents and fans must not cause significant

damage to property.

• LEVEL 2 DISCIPLINE

No alcohol is permitted on any Napa Valley

Unified School District site. Consuming alcohol

at any game or training session in NOT permitted.

• LEVEL 2 DISCIPLINE

◦ See above

Parents and fans must not fight and/or incite

others to fight or incite or engage in unruly or

disruptive behavior. Parents and fans must not

throw objects, of any kind, towards or on to the

field, players, coaches, and/or referees.

• LEVEL 3 DISCIPLINE

◦ First offense – 6 months to a one year

suspension from games and/or

practices

◦ Second offense – One year suspension

or expulsion from the league

• Additional offenses or combination of

other violation of this Code of Conduct

may result in escalated discipline.
